Where: training square(could move around to Lake and forge and stuff lol)
THIS IS AFTER THE MASQUERADE

Lyra sighed, she wasn't able to sleep at all the night before, her mind wandered everywhere but to dreamland. She sighed, and got up, bathed and dressed in her casual clothes, she grabbed her sword and her spear and then tied her hair back in her usual braid, moving to walk outside.

It was going to be another hot day, she could tell, the air was already warm. Lyra sighed as she arrived at the training square, she wouldn't loose, to anyone, especialy not to Phoenix. Lyra sighed and place her spear against a rock and her sword as well, she'd start out with fire then move to weapons, she was going to have to practise aim with her spear.

Lyra took a deep breath as she aproached the center of the square. Skulia says whe channeling fire you must relax first, then attack in swift powerful motions. Fire gets stronger with your emotions if your angry it will be out of control and hard to tame, happy it will seam to dance around, playfully.

Lyra didn't know wht mood she was in, she couldnt get her mind off of Phoenix, it frustrated her.

Lyra exhaled and began to move, fire appearing out of no where as she seamed to dance. Her motions and steps fluid, like that of a person controlling water, guess she hangs out with Amaranth too much.

Lyra could almost feel herself floating, she looked down and gasped her feet were no longer on the ground, fire was under her almost like steps as she continused to manipulate, fire can never be controled.

Lyra's mind wandered for a fraction of a second when she was at least five feet up and whoosh the fire vanished from beneath her and she fell. Landing right on her rear, she winced, damn that hurt. She sighed and stood back up trying again, hoping no one saw that little blunder.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA" A voice echoed from across the room followed by an applause as Nix came forth form the shadows. "My that was real graceful of you. Landing flat on your ass with such elegance AHAHAHAHAA" The Pegasus laughed as he moved over with his own spear.

"You cant even handle that small level of fire magic because you freak out. How lame is that" He snorted moving to walk past her.

Lyra blinked as laughter rang through her ears, shw growled. Damn him...the stupid Iiiaaaaaaah.

She glared at him and then whoosh she sent fire to circle him, trapping him it. "Watch it hot head. wouldn't want you getting hurt." She smirked having her sword in a flash she downward spiraled right at his wings. If she took his wings out then they'd be evenly matched, his wings should still be injured from when she shot a fireblast at him earlier.

Nix perked as she was suddenly trapped in a circle of fire. Was she kidding him? As if this was going to keep him bound. He rolled his eyes glaring her way. He perked looking to her coming, glaring and ready with his spear blocking her from causing any more damage than what she did to his singed wing.

"Not this time carrot. You got me once..it wont happen again" He growled shoving her back with force.

Lyra smirked as he pushed her back, she quickly ducked under his spear, she'd have to be carefull he who has the longer range usually wins...not this time. Lyra glared up at the Pegesus, fire engulfing her sword as a distraction as fire shot from her hand to joint of his other wing.

Lyra jumped back and came at him again, jumping up she steped on his spear as she flipped over him behind him sword aimed at his waist ready to slash him open.

Nix glared up at her as she ducked, she played dirty as she went for his wing. When it wasn't concentrated for the fire magic he knew it hurt like hell. He winced stumbling back some before seeing her jump behind him. This brat was going to far, well then...no time for that was he felt the blade at his side he smirked before suddenly thrusting the hilt of the spear back, getting her in the stomach to wind her before turning with a swing and knocking her off her feet.

"Your not the only one who can play dirty" He glared before moving to kick away her blade. "Stupid girl" He glared at her before....offering his hand to help her up off the floor.

Lyra grunted as she felt the hilt of the spear collide with her stomach, knocking the wind out of her, she wasnt execpting him to do that or to knock her off her feet. She glared up into his very beautiful purple eyes, he blushed slightly pink, from embarassment. She smirked. "You have an unfair advantage with your wings, the best strategy would be to take them out and then fight on even terms..." She mttered glaring at him as he called her stupid. "Stupid boy." She snapped, blinking she decided to take his hand, knowing she probably shouldnt trust him, she stood up and dusted herself off.

Steping back a few steps. "Ready for round two?"

Phoenix moved to help her to his feet, taking up her blade and handing it to her. "When its time of combat the odds are not always fair." He reminded her before moving away.

His wings both now singed but still usable. As she was ready for the next round he shifted his weight to his left before suddenly Darting to the right and charging at her. This time being fair about it giving her a work out with quick reflexes.

Lyra smiled, perhaps he's not as bad as he seems to be. She took her sword from him, muttering a soft thank you, and quickly took battle stance. She would be ready for whatever he threw at her.

Lyra watched carefuly, smirking so he was comming from the left, she blinked as he changed and charged from the right. Shit. She jumped asidemoving around him sword aimed at his shoulder but clashing with his spear, she growled as he blocked and came back, being in his front and not behind him, she aimed low for his legs.

Their fight seamed almost like a dance, a very hard and grueling dance. Lyra smirked. "Time to heat this up." she said looking him right in his beautiful purple eyes. She continued staring into them, fire appearing and engulfing them, she broke the gaze and spun around aiming her sword for his waist this time.

Nix smirked as she was thrown off by his change in position, quickly going at her with fast thrust of his spear. A smirk on his face blocking her each time, before tossing her back hard.

Again clashing and attacking they went at it hard and fast, Nix eying her as she looked to him making him smirk before eying the flames. He smirked moving to block her again, this time smirking before grabbing her chin and pulling her into a kiss.

Lyra groaned as she got hit hard in the stomach once more by his spear, oh yes that would bruise. Lyra frowned, she hated that smirk...that oh so sexy smirk that was plastered on his perfect face.

Lyra blushed as he eyed her, and again the smirk, before she knew it he was blocking and then kissing her...wait...kissing.

Lyra's eyes widened her cheels a vibrant shade of pink, she was still not responding but not pushing him away, her mind conflicted, finally she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him closer kissing him back. Get a grip girl! He's using this to distract you. Lyra opened her eyes and pushed him away flipping back, trying to stay calm. She had enjoyed that kiss, she wanted to kiss him again...damn him for using her hormones and herr growing crush on him against her.

She growled and closed her eyes focusing, she opened them and shot a fire ball at him, enough of a distraction to get behind him, sword to his throat.

"I win."

Nix perked as she wrapped her arms around him, smirking before she jumped away. Well wasn't this nice, her smirked even more as she shot a fireball easy to duck but oh she was good.

"This time perhaps" He grinned before reaching up and twisting her arm and ramming her to the ground face first into the training mat. "Dont forget...never leave yourself open" He smirked looking her over before moving to yank her back up and hand her her blade. "Where did you learn to use your blade so well?"

Lyra smirked as he conceded to defeat...not so much. She winced as he twised her arm around and pinned her to the ground. Damn, she shouldent have let her guard down like that.

She blinked as she was suddenly yanked up into his arms, she blushed and smiled as he handed her the sword. "I taught myself before I came to the Athenaeum...after i got here Lady Airlia helped me a great deal." She smiled at him. "Your a wonderful fighter." and kisser...Lyra blushed at that though, quickly clearing her head. "Nix, will you be my sparring partner?" sure it was becasue she wants to be close to him, but it's also because he's a great fighter, and the people in her swords class can't match her skill.

Nix smirked moving to brush back his hair before smirking before moving to walk past her. "Whatever...I'll kick your ass next time" He smirked moving to take a seat and rub his shoulder but more so the wings that has been blasted. He looked to his spear at his feet before looking to Lyra

"I see your fire skills are improving."

Lyra blinked thinking he was going to ignore her she caught his comment and smirked. "I'd like to see you try to kick my ass little Phoenix." She smirked and blinked watching him sit and rub his shoulder and his wing, she sighed. That injury was her fault and her responisbility, she moved and walked over to him leaning over to get a better look at the injury she frowned, she got him good. Lyra sighed, her healing magic never was the best, that is why when Zeph is around and she gets hurt, she has Zeph heal her, but the wound wasn't so bad that she couldn't heal it.

She gently moved her hands over the joint and closed her eyes, concentrating she channeled her enegry and soft healing flames flickered around his wing and snoulder, healing the injuries. She opened her eyes and smiled. "There...better I hope." She asked him, blinking and blushing to his complement.

"There getting better...not as good as some of the other third years, but im slowly improving." One of those other students would be him, she knew what he could do with fire and how he lived up to his name. Lyra sighed and moved to Sit down behind him, back to back, thankful for that, or he'd see her face a bright shade of pink.

"You're a wonderful spear fighter...a good fighter in general, who taught you?"

"Me, Myself and I" He answered flapping his wings slightly to test them out before looking to her "I look by watching others. Watching battles and fools kill themselves over simple things." He said as he took up his spear and moved over to one of the training dummies.

"You watch you learn you listen you learn and you keep your mouth shut if you want to live to see the dawn" He glanced over to her before driving that spear into the ground and turning to face her.

"Now then" He smirked holding both hands which in a blink were on fire "Shall we continue" He smirked.

Lyra blinked and nodded, both had taught themselfs how to fight. She could tell that they were more alike than anyone would ever know...did he have to fight to stay alive as she did??

Lyra watched him, every move he made. She blinked as he shoved his spear into the ground, their gazes locked...sapphire met amethyst as his hands were suddenly engulfed in flames. Shit...fighting fire with fire, this would be interesting.

Lyra smirked and put her sword down to rest on a rock, she coppied his movements hands down and at her sides, she focused and combustion.

Lyra smiled warmly at Nix, each moment she spent with him, she grew to like h more. Shaking all thoughts from her head she got into position and raised get arms, quickly spinning around a cycleline of fire consumed them both.(12ft wide. 12 ft in long.) she circled him before moving and drop kicking him, hoping to shake his balance. She never was good with hand to hand combat...magic she could handle, then suddenly she got an idea...her movements would be more fulid if she danced.

Spinning around, her fire made almost a shield around her as moved foward to punch him.

Nix smirked looking to her as she did her little dance, getting cocky in his own case and moving to her in a dance just the same, coming up behind her and suddenly wrapping his arms around her.

"I got you" He smirked moving to hold her before shoving her away with a blast of fire.

"Fire and Fire clash and nothing works" He smirked before in her face again. "Boo"

Lyra smirked as she continued to 'dance' spinning out flames until suddenly she was pulled against him. Her face turned red, she gulped and bit her lip gently before regaining compouse, as she went to retort to his 'i got you' comment she winced feeling heat on her back as she flew foward catching her balance before she fell she spun around and glared at Nix and gasped. "That was so unfair!"

She smirked moving to grip his shoulders and lean in, returning that kiss from earlier. Her hands slipped down his chest before she pulled back an smirked using his same trick she blasted him away. "Whoops."

She laughed before spinning a downward spiral motion sending a arrow of fire at Nix.

Nix was sent flying form the blast, skidding across the floor as he came to a stop. He smirked in time to catch that arrow coming at him and dodge it just in time, sending a shower of blasts her way

"To Slow" He snickered before again charging at her.

Lyra growled and dodged most of the blasts, he was correct she is too slow. The blast hitting her right on her right side was proof of that. "ahh" She groaned and held her side, glaring at him.

Lyra blinked side stepping narrowly avoiding him as he charged at her, she gulped, that was too close for comfort. Lyra gulped and smirked she had his back. Lyra launched a ball of fire at Nix, using that as a decoy to get infront of him and give him a hard right hook to the face.

Nix smirked as one of his blasts hit its mark, moving to charge at her at full force. When she dodged he could only smile as she got a change to dodge it. Not for long. He haddened to catch a glance at the blast coming his way, rushing to avoid it before seeing her swing for his face. Hed take it, knowing it would hurt her hand more than it would hurt his face.

"Cheap shot" He smirked moving to look her way before the room started to get brighter. HIs wings...His wings were now on fire and his eyes to match.

"My turn" He smirked using both the wind of his wings and the flames to attack her with a spray of fire needles.

will beat him, to knock that annoyingly sexy smirk the he'll off his handsome face. She was caught off guard as he smiled, what a beautiful smile, it was probably only something Jerry saw and even then it seemed rare.

As he took the shot to his face Lyra growled to cover the hiss of pain. 'what the Moooooo Are his bones made of? Steel?'. She raised a brow as she heard him say cheap shot and she laughed, a beautiful and pure sound. "never." it was her turn to smirk, well until he saidmy turn and then lived up to his name, it was almost mesmorizing but she wouldn't get caught in that trap. As the fire needles came she silently cursed for watching him for that moment and bnot jumping away like she should have. She dodged most flawlessly, completly missing the last one comming right for her stomach, she saw it with no time to dodge, instead to took it, wincing but refusing to cry out she looked down to the needle in her stomach, it still burned but the flame would die soon, she waisted no time pulling it out, using his own fire from the end of the needle seer the wound closed, she tossed the needle aside, frowning to the blood that drenched her under layer of clothing, oh well, she quickly chaneled her enegry healing over the scar so their is no scar and getting rid of the internal damage. She looked up at Nix and smiled, still in a great deal of pain. "Nice move." she simply stated before smirking, she walked over to him and bam drop kicked the tall man, knocking him on his as ontop of him in an instant his own fire needle reignited at his throat. "looks like I win..." for now. Lyra smirked and pecked his lips with her own, just a little victory kiss, she got up and stretched, her back facing him, during the fight her hair came loose and it blew gently in the breeze. Lyra smiled and turned around, pushing her fair gently behind her ear and holding it there so it wouldn't blow in her face she leaned over and held her hand out to him to help him up.

Nix winced seeing where that needle went, Damn girl was to slow. He told himself hoping shed avoid it. Busy watching her heal herself he moved down from his position in the air putting to feet to the ground. It was in that moment he blinked seeing her suddenly there. How the heck did she move that fast when she was so slow before.

She so totally cheated kicking him down and what the hell was up with her and the need to kiss him. He glared looking her way. Her victory? Oh hell no. War was never over until someone was out cold or dead. He watched her and her fiery hair fly behind her, now more annoyed wishing he hasn't been so lenient with her for sure hed get in 'trouble' for this one.

As she came to offer him her hand, he snapped and slapped it away getting up on his own. "I dont need your help" he growled moving to take up his spear and head for the exit.

Lyra blinked and sighed as phoenix slapped away her hand and glared at her, she opened her mouth to speak then closed it as he yelled I don't need your help. Lyra blinked, upset as he picked up his spear and moved to leave her feet and legs moved without command from her mind, rushing she held him from behind pink tinted cheeks she sighed. "Nix wait..." she blinked and pushed away from him. "Sorry.." she mumbled blushing. She moved from behind him to before him. "Nix, if your upset because of the kick I'm sorry, we can redo the sparring match, I don't mind..." she gulped and looked down, not keeping eye contact like she normally does she sighed and decided he'd just yell at her and call her names, there was no use even trying. Lyra sighed and turned away from him, grabbing her own spear she turned back, this time their eyes met. "Thank you for sparring with me...your very strong." she smiled softly and moved to exit before him blinking she suddenly thought of Jerry and she glanced back at Nix then looked ahead. "I hope Jericho is doing better and I hope you hold no ill feelings towards Zephyra...that prank was my idea...you should be upset with me not her, anyways I hope beating the stiffing out of me was enough, if you feel the need to do so again I'm always here training at this time..." she blushed, shed mixed her words purposly...not so they'd be hard to understand, but so he wouldn't think she just asked him on a date of sorts. "Well...like I said before...I hope Jericho is doing better...and thanks for sparring with me." she turned and smiled softly towards him before moving and walking towards the exit of the square.
